Morgado do Reguengo golf course is known by two distinguishing features; large greens and the deepness of its bunkers (104 in total), which will punish a not so good shot. The water hazards are also in play, thanks to a lake that affects some of the holes.

Morgado do Reguengo golf course, is one of the longest in the region at 6399 meters (6998 yards) long, the PAR 73, 18-hole course is in an area that as been moderately landscaped so it fits perfectly in the surrounding countryside. It is home to five PAR 5 holes, nine PAR 4s and four PAR 3s.

Besides its length, the course also as an impressive average green size of 800 m2, lakes and a series of strategically located bunkers. These features combine to make Morgado do Reguengo a true Championship Course. Golfers can also enjoy the excellent practice facilities consisting of a driving range, chipping green and putting green.

The large open spaces will demand good putting skills. Also there are deep bunkers so the player must be accurate. Morgado do Reguengo was opened in February 2003. The course was designed under PGA European Tour.

One of two championship courses nestling in the Morgado do Reguengo private estate on the slopes of the Monchique hills. The terrain is unique in the Algarve, set among rolling parkland with wonderful views inland to the hills. Lying to the north of Portimão, the courses are set in a large 980 hectare estate through undulating small valleys.

Morgado do Reguengo golf course is supported by a club-house where golfers can find a bar, a restaurant and a pro-shop, you can also hire buggies and clubs.
